Henna tattoos are popular for those people that wish to get a tattoo without the pain associated and the permanence of the ink in the skin. Henna tattoos can last up to four weeks and are created through henna powder which is made into a paste and applied to the skin. Although henna is an ancient tradition that has been used for hundreds of years, there are still many people that choose to use henna to create tattoos.
Henna tattoos are traditionally used through a variety of customs and cultures. These tattoos are often applied to the skin at times of celebration and are traditionally applied to the hands as well as the feet. Births and weddings are two popular times in which henna tattoos are applied to the skin. Through these traditions, the form of art that is henna tattoos have caught on worldwide, allowing temporary tattoos for many occasions.
Finding patterns that can be used for henna tattoos can be simple with the use of the internet and other various galleries and pictures. There are many patterns and outlines which can be printed from the internet that can allow the individual to print these patterns to help apply them to the skin.
Many henna tattoos are meant to be drawn by hand and therefore some people choose to avoid the use of patterns, rather seeking a pattern and drawing this pattern by hand. This is a way to create a unique tattoo through the use of a picture. With the use of a small paintbrush that has short and small bristles, the henna is applied to the skin in the form of a paste and allowed to dry, once the paste dries and is removed from the skin you are left with the ink that resembles the pattern that has been drawn on the skin.
