Where to Buy Henna for Tattoos
Henna tattoos are growing in popularity as people wish to experiment with the semi permanent ink at home before making the commitment to get a tattoo. Henna tattoos can be applied to the skin with the use of stencils, as well as paint brushes and the pigments from the dye remain on the skin after the paste has dried, leaving a tattoo that can be seen for four to six weeks on the skin.
Buying henna can be an inexpensive way to create the paste that can be used for the tattoos that can be created at-home. Henna powder can often be bought from art supply or natural stores that stock these types of products. Check these natural stores for paste as well, in case you don’t want to go through the entire process of mixing the powder with lemon juice and essential oils, letting the dye develop and then having to mix the paste again to get the consistency just right!
Henna can also be purchased through the internet – perhaps for a fraction of the price that the powder would cost in stores. As well as in store, there are often sites that contain links to purchase henna powder, as well as henna paste. Again, it is up to the personal preference of the person that is going to be using the products.
It is important to remember that henna only comes in one color naturally, all other dyes that are said to be created with henna but come in other colors than the dark brown that we have become familiar with do indeed contain other ingredients. This is important to know, as many of these products may be labeled incorrectly with the fact that they contain natural ingredients.
