(image courtesy of bohippy.co.uk) Henna is a popular ink powder that is used to create temporary tattoos that can last between four to six weeks while applied to the skin, depending on the care that is taken while the tattoo is on the skin. The powder is combined with a liquid, often lemon juice, which is used to create a paste that is applied to the skin in a variety of patterns. These patterns act as temporary tattoos and are applied to various areas of the skin.
Finding henna hair dye can be simple, there are many natural products and natural shops which make use of the product, which can be easily converted into a paste or that comes in a paste.
Henna powder is often made into a paste that can be a way to give the hair color, as the powders can be tinted in a variety of colors before being applied to the hair. The paste is often created through the use of a combination of the powder and lemon juice, as well as other essential oils and can be applied to the hair and left on for a period of time until the color has been transferred to the hair.
The color which is being applied to the hair is temporary, like the ink that has been applied to the skin. Therefore, it can be easily be removed from the hair after a period of four to six weeks through regular washing. Since the dye that is being put into the hair is all natural and non permanent there is no damage that is caused to the hair through the process of the coloring, unlike traditional hair dyes which can damage the hair follicle after the dye has been applied and must grow out, rather than being washed out.

That is false! If you dye your hair with henna it’s permanent! Eventually it will fade a little, but that’s it. So no washing out the color. Trust me, I dye my hair every other month with henna, for a year now, I know what I’m talking about.

This article is very misleading. It states that the color applied to the hair is temporary, which is false. Henna is temporary when applied to the SKIN because our skin cells are constantly falling off and being replaced by new skin cells. When the pigment enters the hair shaft it bonds with it, and stays there.
